What is Rz® Simulated Diamond?
What is RZ® Simulated Diamond?
RZ® Simulated Diamond is an exclusive synthetic gemstone created from a unique blend of formulated powders. These powders are compressed under high pressure, heated to high temperatures using high-reflective, heat-resistant materials, and then melted into raw crystal form. After cooling, the crystals undergo chemical vapor deposition (CVD) using high-energy ultrasonic waves to achieve a hardness comparable to natural diamonds. Although still in the experimental phase, RZ Simulated Diamonds are produced in a lab and will continue to be refined for optimal quality.
Each RZ® Simulated Diamond is crafted to match the highest grade of natural diamonds in terms of color, clarity, cut, and hardness, closely resembling a D FL TYPE II A diamond's brilliance. (D represents the highest color grade, and FL signifies flawless clarity)
Notes:
FL: Flawless with no visible inclusions; less than 1% of diamonds achieve this grade. Even under 10x magnification, inclusions are not visible, making it the rarest clarity grade. (Non-experts often mistake IF (Internally Flawless) for flawless)
TYPE II A Diamonds: Often referred to as "Purest of the Pure," Type IIa diamonds constitute only 1-2% of gem-quality diamonds. These exceptionally clear and perfect diamonds are usually available only through auctions, offering higher brilliance than typical diamonds.
Key Considerations for Creating Affordable Alternatives (RZ® Simulated Diamonds)
1. Whether the fire and brilliance of RZ® Simulated Diamonds under light differ from natural diamonds (they do not).
2. Whether the cut of RZ® Simulated Diamonds matches the perfect cut of natural diamonds (57 facets, GIA standards).
3. Whether the color change of RZ stones and natural diamonds under light and without light are similar (they are).
4. The durability of RZ® Simulated Diamonds and whether they become easily scratched or cloudy (they can be cleaned like natural diamonds).
5. Whether the material and transparency of RZ® Simulated Diamonds exhibit the same adamantine luster as natural diamonds (they do, thanks to exclusive materials).
Why Not Produce CVD Diamonds That Can Pass the Diamond Tester?
Due to technical limitations and cost, producing CVD diamonds with consistent color and clarity is challenging and expensive. Currently, CVD diamonds are priced at about 70-80% of natural diamonds. For diamonds between 1.00-1.50CT, customers might prefer natural diamonds.
Additionally, ask yourself if your diamond has ever passed a diamond tester. The answer is obvious.
Is Moissanite, Which Can Pass the Diamond Tester, Considered a Diamond?
Many customers are misled by unscrupulous sellers into believing that Moissanite is a type of diamond. In reality, the two elements are different. Moissanite has double refraction, causing noticeable doubling compared to the single refraction of diamonds. Moissanite cannot be cut to GIA standards (Eight Hearts and Arrows) as it would expose its double refraction flaw. Some customers might be deceived by sales tactics or diamond testers into buying Moissanite, which is visibly different from diamonds.
Sellers claiming that Moissanite can pass a diamond tester often use cheap conductivity testers that beep when the material conducts electricity. Professional diamond testers, which are typically more expensive than a 1.00CT diamond, are not commonly found on popular shopping sites.
Modern professional diamond testers, introduced a decade ago, include Moissanite testing. Only diamonds will pass these professional testers.
In summary, even if your friend works with diamonds, they likely won't carry a diamond tester around for casual use. So, ask yourself again, has your diamond ever passed a diamond tester? The answer remains clear.
The following is a comparison of diamond tester results for Moissanite, natural diamonds, and RZ® Simulated Diamonds.
Most new professional diamond testers can detect Moissanite, so the claim that it can pass a diamond tester is unfounded.
The purpose of RZ® Simulated Diamonds is to fulfill every consumer's dream of owning a perfect diamond. We believe every woman deserves to own a diamond in her lifetime. However, this doesn't mean she should wear only one style forever! There are no women who do not like to adorn themselves, only those who are too lazy to do so.
